Our Catering Facilities

Humber Education Trust are delighted to outsource our catering contract to North Yorkshire Education Services.

NYES catering service has been operational for over 40 years and operates in more than 240 education sites in and around Yorkshire. They are knowledgeable, continuously evolving and changing in-line with the up-to-date trends and requirements – whilst always committing to great quality and nutritionally balanced food.

Their brilliant three-weekly menu focus’ on a hot meal or grab and go option, dependent on the school and age, and is served with a selection of healthy side dishes, bread and a well-stocked salad bar where requested. Click below to view our school menu.

Free School Meals

Many families are entitled to Free School Meals but don’t currently claim them.

Parents can apply online via Hull City Council’s My School Portal. Applications can be made on any device, are fast-tracked, and give an immediate provisional decision using Department for Work and Pensions data.

Please apply if you think you may be eligible, are unsure, or if your child is in Reception to Year 2.

If your child is eligible, they will receive free meals and the school will receive additional funding to support pupils. This funding helps us maintain free meals for Reception and KS1 and keep the £1.50 charge for KS2 meals.

If you can’t apply online, a paper application form can be downloaded and returned to your child’s school.

Who is eligible?

You can apply if your child attends a Hull school or sixth form full time and you receive certain benefits, including Universal Credit, Income Support, Pension Credit, or Child Tax Credit (subject to income limits).

Children who receive benefits directly may also qualify.

Even if your child already receives Universal Infant Free School Meals, please still apply, as the school will receive additional funding if you are eligible.
