Volunteering

Our volunteers are essential for everything we do at Frederick Holmes.
Some help out in the classroom, in the swimming pool area, school trips, after school activities or helping us make resources to enhance pupils learning.

Becoming a volunteer is easy. Some volunteers work every week, others help when they can even if it is just a few days a year. Volunteering for Frederick Holmes is rewarding, however you choose to help. You get to make a real difference to pupils as well as making new friends, learning new skills and often you’ll uncover hidden talents you never knew you had!

If you would like to apply for a voluntary position or placement with us, please complete our support-staff-application-form, and return it to the school. Mark your envelope for the attention of Helen Maddison, Head Teacher.

Please note that, due to the age range of pupils and students in the school, all staff and volunteers require both Adult and Children’s clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
